Ms Marianna Economidou graduated with a Bachelors in Law (LLB) from the University of Cyprus in 2017. Following her LLB, she worked as a trainee lawyer at the Attorney’s General Office of the Republic of Cyprus and she admitted to the Cyprus Bar Association in 2018. Upon her successful admission to the Cyprus Bar, Ms Economidou pursued a Masters in Law (LLM) in European Union Law with emphasis in EU Competition Law at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL).

In 2019, Ms Economidou started working as a Schuman Trainee at the European Parliament’s Committee on Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) in Brussels, which she completed in February 2020. Her traineeship at the European Parliament was followed by a three-month internship at Alber & Geiger, a government relations law firm in Brussels.

For the last two years, Ms Economidou has worked as a Legal Adviser at a consultancy firm in Cyprus specializing in Competition Law. Ms Economidou’s competences included working on cases for mergers, state aid, cartels or abuse of dominance and advising on competition law matters related to horizontal and vertical agreements. Ms Economidou is also the author of several articles on subjects related to competition law.

Furthermore, Ms Economidou is an Accredited Trainer of Vocational Trainings (Human Resource Development Authority (HRDA) Cyprus), an Arbitrator and an Accredited Mediator – Member of the Cyprus Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Ms Economidou joined Stelios Americanos & Co LLC as an Associate Lawyer in 2022 and is a member of the (i) Corporate & Commercial and (ii) Real Estate & Immigration departments.

Ms Economidou is a native Greek speaker and a fluent English speaker.
